About Röntgen Service AG

Roentgen Service AG was founded in 1973 and, with over half a century of experience in the field of X-ray systems, is now one of Switzerland's leading providers of digital X-ray systems in the fields of human medicine and veterinary medicine, as well as industrial applications. Our services cover the entire spectrum from sales, planning, commissioning and training to service and support.

In line with technical progress, we are constantly adapting our product portfolio, whereby we focus primarily on stationary, digital X-ray systems in the human medicine segment. In the veterinary medicine segment, our range includes stationary and portable digital X-ray systems as well as systems for digital dental X-rays. For industrial applications, we offer a range of portable digital X-ray systems to cover the entire spectrum of applications. For all systems in our range, we can of course offer the corresponding acquisition software as well as suitable software for image management (PACS). We attach great importance to the quality of our products and work and have an ISO 13485 (quality management system for medical devices) certificate, as well as specialized technical personnel.

At the beginning of our company history, our focus was on analogue X-ray systems in the field of human medicine. Our first major achievement was the independent development of our own X-ray generator. We are particularly proud that even today we still occasionally encounter our own developments in the field. Over the course of time and with growing experience, our traditional business area was supplemented with the areas of veterinary medicine and industrial applications. For over ten years now, we have been selling digital X-ray systems, which have now completely replaced analog systems on the market. Nevertheless, we naturally continue to guarantee support for our customers in the analog sector. In the course of our many years of business activity, we have been able to collect a number of exhibits from the history of radiography, which we have displayed in an X-ray museum. We are happy to open our doors by appointment!

As a classic family business, which is wholly owned by the Widmer family, we have positioned ourselves far away from holistic profit-oriented investment companies. On the one hand, this gives us the opportunity to focus exclusively on the needs of our clients. On the other hand, by foregoing external financing, we can ensure that the continuity of our company is secured in the long term and that we will continue to stand by our customers in the future. Since 2021, Röntgen Service AG has been managed with great commitment and pride by the third generation.
